Blok Beograd 2022

Blok Beograd is a project about the brutalist architecture of Belgrade. In addition to Novi Beograd, other districts are also coming into focus. Monumental residential and administrative buildings made of raw, gray concrete dominate the cityscape with their massive forms.

From a bird's eye view, the photographs show the buildings in their entirety and reveal their complex structure. Geometric, mostly rectangular structures merge into multi-layered compositions that oscillate between a clearly planned urban structure and an organic-looking form. From above, impressive patterns emerge that place the architecture in an exciting relationship with the surrounding landscape.

Blok Beograd thus opens up a new perspective on Belgrade's brutalist architecture and its interplay of mass, structure, and urban space.
